Here I am now, just two weeks away from ending another phase in my National Service.
The past few months and weeks in the service has definitely learn more about limits and about myself as well as the different fuckers that surround me (not everyone is a fucker, but most of them are).
There are people who talk like they know stuff, but when the real shit hits the floor...they won't even be around to smell the stench.
And then there are people who just sit around and smell the shit with you, but leave you to be responsible for your actions if things go wrong. However, he will still be there to reap the rewards with you, if you got to clean everything up.
It has been a bitter sweet few months, and there's still roughly about 1 year and 7 months to go once I've completed BSLC. And not all is bad about people too, there are people that are actually great to have as buddies, and I'm glad to have met them.
On the musical front, I've been really slow (Sorry Iffah). I want to be productive...but there's so little time left to even rest fully during weekends that I can't set my mind straight to write anything down or get to recording. It's irritating...and I have no choice but to drag this feeling along with me all the way.
There's not much of a future for me in NS too, I have a strong feeling I would be the one that would fit into the whole stereotype and end up where everyone else would like to avoid.
Just two more weeks to the end of BSLC...I have to persevere on.
And if you're gonna serve the Nation soon or am in BMTC..don't be demoralised if you read this. Everyone's experience is unique, it's all in your own state of mind on how you want to view the challenges ahead. It's definitely tough, I won't deny that...but if you choose to learn something, you will gain something (not much, most of the time...but still something).
So that's about all. I really miss alot of things that I enjoy doing right now...especially meeting up with my friends and just talking shit the whole day or just plain enjoying music will I get ear fatigue. I need a break.
