i was watching MTV and i realised something that sucks about it(not that its any good)....Rock It on fridays....the ads for the programme shows old-school rock outfits(KISS,Guns N' Roses,The Who) but when i tune in to the programme on fridays i will always be dissapointed by both the host(damn he looks like a bloody techno man who has only one thing he knows about rock,a faux hawk hair-do) and also by the type of videos being played....and mind you the shows just 30 mins...
most of the time they would play weak-ass rock bands...Nickelback,The Click Five,Rooster....WHAT THE FREAKING HELL!!! these bands are already hogging most of the time in MTV OUTSIDE OF Rock It....yet they are being played again in Rock It...dammit...the only time i saw a good video was when they played A Perfect Circle's Passive and System Of A Down's BYOB....yeah...and the ad for the show asks us What's Rock?....bet they really dunno wat issit by playing these cheap-ass bands....not that i say the bands are not good...coz Nickelback is a good band....but they are so sappy that they don't belong to a show called Rock It....
there are tons of old-school rock vids available...and there are also really good rock vids of today that belong in that programme...yet they show cheap-ass bands...well..not that S'pore really does care about Rock...even most of the people texting the show are saying the host is hot...damn....wats up with u people!!! i bet those people are just urban music lovers(hip hop,RnB,Reggae-thon and the sort that sings a bit but repeats the chorus over and over again)....
the last thing i would expect to see is them playing a Jay-Z and Beyonce vid on Rock It....if they do that...then i would give up on MTV all over....(people who agree with wat i had been yaking about for the past few mins,go tag!,i want to know that at least there are somemore Rock-Loving Singaporeans....)
